History and Architecture:

The Foundation stone of the church was laid on October 22 1892. The Church is a simple stone and brick building 20 feet x 30 feet. An extension of just over 3 meters was made at the eastern end, and a porch and vestry were added in 1961. The Architect for this was Dean W. Berry and the builder was H.J. Were.

Architectural: Random coursed stone walls with brick quoins. Gable ended roof clad with corrugated galvanised iron. Gable ended porch with bardeboards. Pointed arched windows with hoods. Random rubble stone extension.  A small church was built 1889-99, and basic improvements continued until 1912. A growing population prompted extensions to the main building (new sanctuary, porch and vestry) completed 1961.The sundial in front of the church commemorates Walter Hervey Bagot (1880-1963).
