History and Architecture:

A small timber church was built facing Cherry Street and opened on 12th April 1885. This building was moved to face Crane Street before the present church was erected.

A Foundation stone reads, " St Stephens Presbyterian Church Ballina This stone was laid by Hugh Gibson Esq Mayor Sept 16th 1914 John Haddon Bates Minister.
