History and Architecture:
The first church was built in 1857 on land donated by John Abbott. This church, of sandstone construction, was erected directly in front of the present church. . The present Church was built in 1925 while the old church was demolished in 1944 with parts of it being used in the Grotto. Further renovations were carried out in 1980 and 1998.
