A wall plaque reads, " The first solid construction church built in Bamera opened 10 September 1922 as the Congregational Church Barmera National Trust of S.A. A foundation stone reads " This stone was laid to the Glory of God by Rev G. Rayner Chairman of the Congregational Union S.A. March 4 1922".
