History and Architecture:

The Church was established as a parish in 1917 from territory originally belonging to the care of the Franciscan fathers and then to a larger parish which comprised all of Rose Bay and Woollahra.

The Catholic Press reported on Thursday 8th August 1929 that the blessing of the Foundation stone was to be held at 3.30pm Sunday 18th. The Ceremony will be performed by His Grace the Archbishop of Sydney.

Organ:

The Organ was built in 1936 by Hill, Norman & Beard for Astra Theatre, Parramatta. Later moved to St Patrick's. Rebuilt & installed c.1970 Holy Family Catholic Church, Luxford Road, Emerton (Mount Druitt). S.T.Noad & Son 2m. 5rks. ext., el.pn. Organ removed (details unknown).
