History and Architecture:

A wall plaque reads, " A.M.D.G. The Cross on the tower of this church was erected in loving memory of Hilton Robinson who died 8th February 1963 The gift of his mother Emma Robinson".

The first church was a wooden weatherboard building also used as a school-room for a short period and was built in 1878.

In 1891 the weatherboard (1st) church building was undergoing repairs and renovations when a fire completely destroyed it. This second church was a brick building, 42ft x 22ft x 30ft high, in Gothic Style”. The building was dedicated by Bishop Charles Camidge, Bishop of Bathurst, on Sunday 31st July 1892

During the 1920s the rector, the Rev. R. Douglas, inspired the parishioners to work towards the goal of a new (3rd) church building. The efforts were successful and on 14th March 1928 Bishop George Merrick Long, Bishop of Bathurst, laid the foundation stone of the new building. Bishop Horace Crotty dedicated the building the following year, although it was not yet finished.

The church also has a notable aggregation of 20th Century stained glass windows including makers such as Montgomery and the Wallers. It was partially constructed in 1927–8 in a modified Gothic mode, when the sanctuary, choir and nave were built. It was subsequently finished to Williams' original design in 1959.
