History and Architecture:
The Church started in nearby Burns Hall in October 1924. The foundation stone on our current site was laid on 2nd July 1927, and the first Minister, Rev Arthur Reeves was appointed in 1933. A new church building was constructed and opened by Archbishop Gough on 24th June 1961 and this is where we still meet to this day.
A wall plaque reads, " To the Glory of God this church was dedicated by the Most Rev H.R. Gough O.B.E. M.D. D.D in memory of those who gave their lives and in gratitude to those who served in Wold War's 1 and 2 and in the Korean campaign 24th June 1961".
A Foundation stone reads, " To the Glory of God This Foundation stone was laid by The Right Reverend R.C. Kerle B.A. Coajutor Bishop of Sydney 15th October 1960".
