History and Architecture:
Formerly a Methodist Church the Foundation stone reads, " This stone was laid to the Glory of God by Mrs C. Lovelock September 5th 1911". An article in the The Advertiser Sat 17 Feb 1912 reads in part. " The new church which was built by Messes R. Poole & Son is an ornament to the town. It is 45 ft by 27 ft. Of the total cost of £800 all but £200 has been paid. This has been lent by one of the trustees free of interest and to be repaid within two years.
