History and Architecture:
The Church opened on Sunday 15 May 1887 and by 1913, the foundation stone for a tower was laid by Bishop Mercer. A Foundation stone reads, " A.M.D.G. This stone was set by the Right Rev G.F. Cranswick BA. TH D Lord Bishop of Tasmania 26 February 1956, H.A. Jerrim Rector".
The church hall next door has a foundation stone that reads, "A.M.D.G. May 27th 1908".

Organ:
First organ, see: Richmond. St Luke's Anglican Church. The present Organ was built in 1926 by Frederick Taylor for Methodist Church, Burke Road, Glen Iris, Victoria. Rebuilt in 1963 Hill by Norman & Beard. Installed at present location in 1984 by Australian Pipe Organs. It has 2m., 20 sp.st., 9c., el.pn. Gt: 8.8.8.4.4.2-2/3.2. Sw: 8.8.8.4.4.2.III.8. Ped: 16.8.8.5-1/3.4
