History and Architecture:

The first church was dedicated to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour and completed at a cost of £1,343 on which a debt of £100 remained. It was opened and blessed by the Very Rev. Dean Phelan on Palm Sunday April 5th 1903. He was assisted by Fr. O'Hagan, then parish priest of Mornington, who gave a brief resume of the efforts of the local residents.

A Foundation stone was laid on 23 May 1993 by the most Reverend Sir T.F. Little Archbishop of Melbourne.
