History and Architecture:
A Foundation stone was laid on 12 September 1962 by the Archbishop of Melbourne J.D. Simonds D.D. The church, designed by architects Alan Robertson & Associates and built by Holywood Constructions, cost £55,000. It was blessed and officially opened by Archbishop Simonds in September 1962.
Holy Eucharist and St. Mary's Malvern East are one Parish. In October 2023, Malvern East along with Malvern (St. Joseph's) and Glen Iris (St. Roch's) became a Family of Parishes with Father Gallacher as the Parish Priest.
