History and Architecture:

A committee chaired by Ken Mason was formed in 1986 after the Blackburn North Baptist Church thought of planting a Church in Eltham. The committee comprised of Ken Mason, Shirley Smith, Alan Field and Lloyd Simmonds.

A meeting was held in May 1986 at which 45 people expressed interest in beginning a new fellowship in the area.

The first service was held on March 15 1987 where 190 people attended. Services were then held in the Eltham Senior Citizens Centre Main Road. However by 1989 it was decided to move the church to the Eltham High School due to space issues at the Citizens Centre.

In 1993 David Noble was inducted as an Associate Pastor. By 1996 with numbers still growing the church held two Sunday morning services.

Brad Letch 1995 - 1997, followed by David Rock formed the backbone of the youth pastoral ministry.

The Church moved to its current address, Nyora Road, in November 2010 with a lease arrangement until the site was purchase in April 2012. The building was previously the home of the Nillumbik Community Church. Its constructed of brick and timber with a balcony on two sides that looks over an expanse of grass.
