History and Architecture:
Tenders were called by the Church of England for a brick building in March of 1925. The Finley Mail reported on 10 February that Mr Sheppard had been granted the contract to build the church. The Foundation stone was laid in 1925 by the Very Reverend Archdeacon Kitchen.
The dedication service was held on Sunday 27 September at 3pm. Presumably in 1925.
