History and Architecture:
The Church was established as a mission church to service the expanding south eastern suburbs of Brisbane in the early1930’s, the parish reached its maturity after World War II which culminated with the building of the existing Memorial Church in 1957 and the establishment of the parish hall complex adjacent.
A Foundation stone reads, " To the Glory of God and n honour of Saint Matthew A.E.M. This stone was set and blessed by Reginald Archbishop of Brisbane on Sunday 25th August 1957. Rector J.G. Harrison Wardens L.G. Goode H.C.C. Goffage".
