History and Architecture:
There are two foundation stones attached to the building. One reads To the Glory of God this Foundation stone of the St Michael and All Angels built for the worship of God and n memory of his faithful servant Herbert Alfred Jones was laid by Patrick Waldegrame Head M.C. B.D. Archbishop of Melbourne on June 26 1940."
The second foundation stone reads, " This plaque unveiled on 25 Nov 1990 by Archbishop Keith Rayner on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the consecration of the church . Records the thanksgiving of the consecration to almighty God for the dedication of worshippers past and present and in faith of those yet to come. Douglas Wilson Vicar."
