A Foundation plaque reads, " To the Glory of God St James Church was built through the outback church foundation and consecrated by the Fourth Bishop of N.W. Australia The Right Reverend Gerald Muston in the presence of the Sixth Archbishop of Perth The Most Revd Peter Carnley on Sunday November 4th 1990".
