History and Architecture:
The first Church was opened in 1889 however it was moved in 1903 to Church Street site.
The foundation stone was placed on Sunday 3 July 1910 by Monsignor Sylvester Barry, Vicar-General of the Sandhurst Diocese, in place of Bishop Reville, who was then in hospital overseas. Fr. Mulqueen, who had been parish priest ever since the Kyabram parish was created eight years earlier, welcomed Monsignor Barry. Fr. Malone.
The Architect of the current Church was A.A. Fristch.
The parish includes neighbouring towns of Tongala where St Patrick’s Church was built in 1909 and Merrigum, site of St Sebastian’s church which opened in 1903.
