History and Architecture:

On January 7th, 1882 the original All Souls' church was opened for worship. The building and the land together cost 800.

The church was designed by the architectural firm founded by Edmund T. Blacket, the great Anglican Church architect of the nineteenth century. Designed in the early English gothic style and built in brick masonry with sandstone details.
In 1963 two of the Church tennis courts were leased to BP and they became a petrol station until 1993 when the site became a Restuarant. This initiative supported urgent maintenance work.

The church became a recipient of the Sydney Aircraft Noise Insulation Project which spent almost $2 million in sound proofing the church building, providing a new roof, double glazing, seismic proofing and air conditioning.

A Foundation stone reads, " A War Memorial This stone was set by Rt Rev R.C. Kerle B.A. 7.4.62Leland Parsons Rector".
