History and Architecture:

The St Andrew's Bush Brotherhood was established in 1897 in Longreach, Queensland, by the Bishop of Stepney, Canon Body and the Bishop of Rockhampton, Nathaniel Dawes. The first group of brothers was led by the Reverend George Halford.

A Foundation stone reads, " A.M.D.G. This stone was laid in the faith of Jesus Christ. In the name of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. Under the dedication of Saint Andrew A.M. In remembrance of  those who gave their lives for God and Country in the Great Wars. By + Theodore Lord Bishop of Rockhampton on the feast of Saint Francis 4th October 1959. John Bayton Rector".
