History and Architecture:
A Foundation stone reads, " A.M.D.G. This Convent was opened and blessed on the 10th Jan 1926 by The Right Rev Dr Wm Hayden Bishop of Wilcannia - Forbes and Very Rev Fr Paul Zundolovich Rector".
An article in the Pastoral Times Sat 23 Jan 1926 in part reads, " A fortnight ago a. modern design bungalow convent school was opened on a spacious block of land adjacent to the Roman Catholic Church in Mathoura, to plans from the office of Mr. A. J. Inches, of Echuca. The following is a description of the new building :— The foundations and walls are of reinforced concrete the walls (outer) being 6in. and the internal walls 5in. thick, rough united and cement-ed outside and plastered inside. The front elevation shows a fine wide verandah with granolithic floor and concrete pillars on the right".
