History and Architecture:
The area was originally known as the Rosewood Scrub, and Minden was named after the German town of the same name. This is a Zion Lutheran Church. The land on which the church stands was transferred to the congregation in 1880, and they built the first church in that year.

Organ:
The present organ was built by Whitehouse Brothers of Brisbane and installed in June 1931. Restored i 2017 by Pierce Pipe Organs of Brisbane. It has 1 manual, 3 speaking stops, tubular-pneumatic action, no pedals.
