History and Architecture:
The Church was dedicated on Sunday 16 August 1936 by Bishop Melville Charles James. A Foundation stone reads, " A.M.D.G. St Peters memorial church built for the worship of God and the teaching of the Catholic faith This stone was set in place by Allen Second Bishop of St Arnaud on the 24th March 1962 M.P.T. Hazell Rector Earle and Associates Architects C. Thompson Builder".
