History and Architecture:
A delightful cruciform bluestone church, with freestone dressings, designed by Alexander Davidson and built in 1866, primarily in the Decorated style, but with plate traceried windows. The broach spire, added in 1905 and donated by Mr Thomas Russell at a cost of nealry £1,000, incorporates an unusual recessed band surmounted by gablets.. The work was constructed with Waurn Ponds stone.
A Foundation stone reads, " Memorial stone placed by Mrs N.G. Elder Tower and Spire presented by Thomas Russell of Wurrock 23rd March 1905. A Davidson Arch".
The church is now closed, and the property was sold in May 2021.
