History and Architecture:
As far back as 1922, Presbyterian worship was conducted in the Scarness Picture Theatre by ministers travelling from St Stephen's Church, Maryborough.
A Foundation stone reads, " To the Greater Glory of God this stone was laid by Rev Professor H.S.R. Innes Dean Faculty of Theology Presbyterian Church of Queensland 19th Day of March 1960".
