History and Architecture:
A Foundation stone reads, " A.M.D.G. This Foundation stone of Christ Church built for the worship of God and the teaching of the Catholic faith was laid by Allen Second Bishop of St Arnaud 16th March 1958 Canon James A. Knife Rector Wystan Widdows Architect G.A. Winwood Pty Ltd Builder".
Another Foundation stone on a sandstone block in the grounds reads, " To the Glory of God this Foundation block of St Stephen's Church was palced here by Maxwell Homfray Third Bishop of Ballarat 10th December 1919".
