History and Architecture:

The town survey was carried out in 1877 and two equal sites of two roods and four tenths of a perch with one chain frontages to Camp Street and a sidage to Skewes Street were granted on payment of £5.0.6. It was n these two sites that the first church was built. The first church was blessed and opened by Bishop Moore of Ballarat.

In 1905 Father Barry extended the Church and enlarged the sacricity at a cost of £403.

A new Church was commenced around 1933 in a modified English Gothic style carried out in red brick. The completed church was blessed by Bishop Dr Foley on 22 March 1939.
