History and Architecture:

An Historical board at the front of the church reads, " Christ Church was built early 1885 at a cost of £436 ($872) to accommodate 148 worshippers. It was opened on August 23rd 1885 by George Wyndham Kennion, the Bishop of Adelaide. Previously, regular services were held in the local courthouse. A fine toned bell weighing 102 pounds (46.4kg) was rung for the first time on August 9th 1891. To complete the church unit, a Sunday School Hall costing £321 ($642) was built with the foundation stone laid on August 24th 1905. A rectory was built in 1913 which is situated at No. 3 Fifth Street.
