History and Architecture:

The present church was opened in August 1871 after the first church proved to be too small, coinciding with the opening of the new Catholic church. The noted architect, Lloyd Tayler, had called tenders for the erection of a Presbyterian Church at Gisborne at the end of 1870. The cost was £1350.

The Manse was build in 1908 and sold in around 1970.*
