History and Architecture:

The current church was built on land donated by Mr Robert Somerville, and a £50 donation was made by Miss Thompson to assist with the cost of the church building. The church was opened on 7-5-1865 by the Rev G Hurst.

The church cost £900 and the debt was £300 which rose to £472 by 1867. The Church was opened on Sunday, May 7, 1865 when Rev. G. Hurst who had years before pioneered Methodism in the district, preached morning and evening to large congregations.
