History and Architecture:
A fence plaque reads, " The first Methodist services were held in John Adams' shop from 1855. In 1866-7 this brick church was built by Richard Rennie at a cost of £774. It was designed by J A Doane, a Ballarat architect who designed many district Methodist churches. It operated until 1969, when the decision was taken to join with the Presbyterian Church as the Uniting Church. The timber Sunday school was built in 1870. Both buildings became private residences in the 1970s.
