History and Architecture:

The Burrawang Herald  gives the following account of the opening of the new Presbyterian Church at Burrawang the first of which was laid some months ago by Mr D.L. Dymock.

The ceremony in connection with the opening of the new Presbyterian Church Berrawang was commemorated on Wednesday last (22 Feb 1888) by an opening service and tea meeting. The weather during the whole of the day were a very threatening aspect and there is no doubt that this kept a large number of persons away. The proceedings commenced in the morning by service in the church at 11am at which the Rev Dr Steel (Sydney) preached an impressive sermon appropriate to the occasion.

The Church is a neat little building 40 x 20 built of weatherboard on brick foundation the roof being of iron. The contractor for the building Mr F.E. Raward of Bowral".
