History and Architecture:
Sometime in the late 1950’s approval was sought from the then Cardinal to purchase land for a church and a little time after approval was received and 4 Rose Ave Collaroy Plateau was purchased. Architects, Fowell, Mansfield, Jarvis, & Maclurcan to design the church. The porch was designed by parishioner Nick Ciko and built by parishioner Kevin Dunn.
A wall plaque reads, " The Lakes Catholic Parish St Rose of Lima Collaroy Plateau opened and blessed by Most Rev Bishop Thomas Muldoon D.D. November 19 1967. Dedicated by Most Rev David Walker D.D. December 16 2006".
