History and Architecture:
The original church cost £434/4/6 and although it was sup-posed to have been built by general subscription, J. D. Toosey paid for most of it, giving also the original 200 acres glebe and land for the church and cemetery which was made available by the Cressy Company. No charges for cartage were made, as most of the work was given as a free-will offering by volunteers.
