History and Architecture:
The first St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church was built in 1872. The current church was opened in 1925. It seats 300. It was built by Messrs. B.M. Basset and Son, Donald for the sum of £4275. A Foundation stone reads, " This stone was laid by Senator J.F. Guthrie 23rd February 1924. Presented by Mr & Mrs W.H. Gray Donald".
A further Foundation stone reads, " The Foundation stone of the first Church in Donald was laid here on the 18th day of June in the year of our Lord 1872. The Rev Geo. Tait Minister. The stone was reset on the 10th March 1968 over the place form which it was taken together with the original doorsteps, entrance porch, tiles shield and stones from the foundations. The Rev I.N. Whyte B.A. Minister. To God be the Glory".
