A Foundation stone reads, " This stone was laid to the Glory of God by John Ness Esq MLA on behalf of the Rev Jas Leggatt on 21st Dec 1929". A further Foundation stone reads, " This stone was laid to the Glory of God by Mrs Caroline Milne Williams on 21st Dec 1929".
