History and Architecture:
The foundation stone was laid in 1864 and the first service held in 1865. The transepts were begun in 1866 and the nave added in 1875.1 The building is constructed of brick with a slate roof.
A plaque under the Bell tower reads, " To the Glory of God Erected by Parishioners in memory of Harold Owen Lewis Choirmaster of Christ Church for 30 Years. A devoted churchman Died 26th January 1944. Wherever the sweet church bell peals over hill and dell may Jesus Christ be praised".

Organ:
Built by George Fincham & Sons of Melbourne in 1873, for St Giles' Presbyterian Church (High Church), Geelong. Installed in this Church in 1919 by Frederick Taylor of Melbourne, with replacement pipework. Renovated n 1982 by Geo Fincham & Sons, Melbourne. Again renovated in 2012 by Wakeley Pipe Organs, Melbourne 2 manuals, 13 speaking stops, 3 couplers, mechanical action.
