History and Architecture:
Early services were held in Walker’s Hall, which was opposite the School of Arts in Oxford Street, and also in the residence of Mr Vollmer.
A number of Memorial and Foundation stones are attached to the Church wall and include,
"Memorial stone laid 28th Novr 1896 reset by Mrs J. Kirkland 5.12.1936". A plaque reads, " Commemorating 100 years since the laying of the Foundation stone 28th Day of November 1896 and also the first service of worship 20th day of February 1897. 24th November 1996 Minister Rev David Teal". A final plaque reads, " The additions to this church were dedicated to the Glory of God by the State Moderator The Rt Rev Douglas G. Cole B.A. Minister the Rev Dr W.S. McPheat MA BD M Phd 10 Sept 67".
