History and Architecture:
A Heritage plaque reads, " This Church building was constructed and opened for worship on 20 February 1881. It was the earliest church in the Henley and Grange area, constructed on Kaurna land donated by the Grange Land and Investment Company. The laying of the foundation stone in November 1880 followed the first Baptist service being held in a nearby private house in June i880. All funds for the building were generously donated by Church participants for the Glory of God.
The Foundation stone reads, " The Foundation stone of this church was laid by Mrs C S Fowler Nov 9th 1880".
