History and Architecture:

The Sydney Morning Herald Sept 6 1932 described the new church as follows.

"St Paul's Anglican Church. now being erected at Harris Park (adjoining Parramatta) is to plans prepared by Messrs. H.E. Ross and Rowe architects and is being built, under their supervision by Mr. ft. B. Ashley. As will be seen by the illustration the design is similar to a type found among the older churches in England, where the cruciform arrangement of nave, chancel and transept, surmounted by the central tower, is characteristic. When completed ft will be the kind of church that visitors to England find with Ivy clad walls and with mast on the was and roof. To keep the cost within reasonable limits there has been some departure from the older standards of English church architecture. The walls are to be of brick with tiled roof".

A Foundation stone reads, "A.M.D.G. This stone was set by His Grace the Most Reverend Joseph Charles Right DD Archbishop of Sydney September 17th 1932".
