History and Architecture:
Mr Murdock of Howlong was the successful tenderer and work must have progressed rapidly because the Foundation Stone was laid on 26th September, 1899 with much ceremony by Mrs. Wallace of Emu plains Station. The ceremony began at 3.30 by the choir rendering a hymn . A
temporary platform was erected, and with the organ and a few members of the Corowa orchestra the choir was considerably augmented. The Church was opened on Friday March 16 1900.
A memorial stone reads, " Memorial stone laid by Mrs W. J. Wallace of Emu Plains Station 27th Sept 1899".
