History and Architecture:
A large conventional Gothic Revival stone Church of four bays and chancel (fifth bay) and narthex with western front added in 1938. Walls of rugged quarry faced sandstone with dressed window surrounds. Feature of the interior is the chancel arch, a beautiful sweep of stone supported on carved corbels which extend out as buttresses. It was designed by the architect John Horbury Hunt and opened in 1888. The narthex and an extra bay were added in 1938.
A wall plaque reads, " To the Glory of God this stone was dedicated by the Right Reverend William George Hilliard MA Bishop of Nelson NZ and was set in postion by the Honorable Sir Philip Street KCMG Lieutenant Governor of NSW 7th May 1938:.

Organ:
The organ was built by Bevington & Sons of Soho, London (3/25 mechanical) was ordered in 1887 and installed in twelve days by Charles Jackson the following year although the tuning contract seems to have been given to Charles Richardson shortly after.
