History and Architecture:
A Foundation stone reads, " St John the Evangelist Church To the Glory of God this church was consecrated on 29th April 1979 by Most Rev Dr F. Arnott - Rev D.H. Pollock. Vicar - N. Biggs D Keith Wardens".
A plaque reads, " St John the Evangelist Church A.M.D.G. In honour of all members from the Anglican Parish of Inglewood who have served their country in the armed forces of the Commonwealth this stone was laid by The Rt. Rev. W.J. Hudson, Bishop Coadjutor on Saturday June 30th. 1962. Rev V.S. Forester, Rector, P.C. Donovan & L.R. Donovan Church Wardens".
