History and Architecture:
The Church was built in 1952, beside the former St Thomas' Anglican Church that had been dedicated in 1941. Reverend Geoffrey Mitchell Fletcher (1921–2013) arranged the architect for the building and, as a special favour, Professor Wilkinson donated his services free.
The Church includes the Chinese Southwest Christian Church.
