History and Architecture:
A Foundation stone reads, "This stone was laid by The Most Rev Joseph Higgins D.D. Bishop of Ballarat 9th August, AD 1914 Rev M Barrett Pastor".
A marble tablet reads "To commemorate the centenary of St Peters Catholic Church, Linton 1915 - 2015 Blessed by the Most Rev Paul Bird CSSR MA DD Bishop of Ballarat on the 31st May 2015. A further wall plaque reads, "This stone was blessed by Rev L Gallagher P.P. to commemorate the centenary of The Linton Parish 1875 - 1975 30.3.75".
