History and Architecture:
The current church was formerly St. Andrew's, (VFLCA).
The Lutheran Church has been active in the Morgan area since 1880 when a congregation was established at Lindley (ELSA) and Schomburgk (ELSA) in 1887. These congregations closed in the early part of the 1900's and the members formed the basis of new congregations in Morgan.
The first Lutheran Church built in Morgan was Zion (ELCA), which was constructed in 1933. This building presently serves St. Mark's congregation as a hall and Sunday School rooms.
The building presently used by St. Mark's congregation for worship was oringinally dedicated as St. Andrew's (UFLCA) in 1957. The construction of which was mostly carried out by volunteer labour. The building site was purchased in 1952 with funds towards tis purchase donated by the Sisterhood of St Andrews.
The Foundation stone of the hall was laid on 9 December 1956 by Pastor T.J. Fuhlbohn of Waikerie.
