History and Architecture:

The first Methodist services held at Waikerie were led by the Rev. Coyly Butler, who called in the mission boat 'Glad Tidings'. With Methodist Union a few services were conducted each year by the Morgan Mission. In 1909 Mr. J. Moses Gabb was placed in charge of the River Murray Mission, travelling from Morgan to Loxton in the launch 'Endeavour' so named because it was Christian Endeavour that taught him to preach

The first Methodist church was erected in 1922.
