History and Architecture:
The first St Petri church was opened in 1867. The tower was built in 1927 and a new church replaced the first church in 1961.

The first organ was built in 1877 by Gebruder Walter and installed around 1888. The current Organ was built in 1968 by Laurie Pipe Organs. It had 2m, 28spst, 3c, el.pn. It was completed in 1990 by George Stephens. It has 2m, 30spst, 3c, el.pn. Gt: 8.8.4.4.2.1-1/3.1.III 4.2. Sw: 16.8.8.4.4.2.II.16.8.4.
