History and Architecture:
The Church was opened in 1926. The parishes of Oakleigh and Oakleigh East were twinned in 2006.
A Foundation stone reads, " Memorial stone of this Church erected in honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was blessed and laid by The Most Revd Daniel Mannix DD LDD on 27th May 1923 R Harper Architect Revd Thomas Quinn PP".
