History and Architecture:

In 1915 a site was purchased for £120 on the corner of Frederick and Letitia Sts, Oatley. Estate agent J.W. Berryman, the first reacher, let the deposit of £20 stand as his gift.

The new brick church cost approximately £14,400.

The Foundation stone of the Original church reads, “This stone was set by Aid. Hugh Patrick Esq., 3rd November 1917. ” This stone is located on the wall of the Hall foyer. The Foundation stone of the current Church reads, “To the Glory of God this stone was set by J.W. Bayley Esq., on 1 7th May 1958 by Rev W. S. Beazley, Minister.” This stone is located at the bottom of the external stairs near the door to the lower hall.
