History and Architecture:
Padstow was made a separate parish from St Luke' s Revesby in 1962 after Fr Patrick Carr had secured the land for the Parish building and built the original school and Church, with the voluntary help of parishioners. The beginnings of a Catholic Church in Padstow, can be traced to a small wooden chapel at One Tree Point, which was part of “Lisieux” Theresian Home for Needy Children.
A Foundation stone reads, " A.M.D.G. This stone was solemnly blessed and laid by His Eminence Norman T. Cardinal Gilroy on Sunday 10th July 1960". The Church was opened in 1962.
